Donald Flather Artwork Exhibitions: Vancouver Art Gallery

  
     
 

Dr. DM (Donald McIntosh) Flather had one of his original paintings selected from hundreds of submissions and was featured during the Juried 17th Annual BC Artists Exhibitions at the Vancouver Art Gallery Museum held between September 18 to October 10, 1948.

A Jury Show

 Donald's Paintings titled "The Lonely Miles, (Trapline) Mt. Pokiashim" and "Ridge to Mt. Garibaldi " are shown below on lines 44 and 45. Both of these oil on canvas paintings feature cold, sunny Winter scenes with bright blue skies and a snow covered landscape.

DM Flather's Wife, Grace M. Flather was also a bit of an Artist and had two pieces of her pottery exhibited in this Juried Art Show. Visit lines 286 and 287 for the details.

Lawren Harris together with his Wife, Bess Harris also had one of their paintings in this Art Show - see lines 61 and 62.
