Description:

The
Salmon River in Langley, BC is a small, slow moving
river that flows out to the Pacific Ocean. This original
oil painting features the Salmon River flowing through
the forest with stylized waves and the effective use
of sunlight shining through the forest trees. This painting
comes from Donald's highly sought after early career
period.
Although
officially un-catalogued in DM Flather's "Series",
the location of the Salmon River would most likely put
this painting in Donald's "Coastal BC Paintings
Series" that Donald worked on from the 1930's to
1978.
