This painting features beautifully stylized flowing water in the river - one of the effects that Collectors look for in Donald's paintings. The scene is likely somewhere along the Fraser River in Central, BC and if you look closely you can also see the railway tracks and tunnel through the canyon wall. This painting comes from Donald's highly sought after early career period.

Although officially un-catalogued in DM Flather's "Series", the location of the painting is likely from the Fraser River Region in BC that Donald painted many paintings of in his "Fraser River Valley Paintings Series" that Donald worked on from the 1955 to 1977.

Signed on the front. Shown with an original frame that Donald would have made in his Vancouver home.

This photograph was taken of this painting in its original condition. It would certainly brighten up after a minor cleaning and new coat of UV resistant varnish at the Art Conservators.
